I know that we say it A LOT, but seriously...could he be any cuter?
Here's what we have been up to lately...
Still going to school on Tuesday and Thursdays and loving it! Can't believe only a couple of weeks left. (gulp!)
Swimming Lessons on Tuesday and Thursday nights- a refresher course to get ready for the summer. Luckily, this 'fish' has not forgotten how to swim. :)
Lots and Lots of playdates!
Still planning his birthday parties- yes, parties. He now has every theme planned until his 15th birthday. Yes, he's his momma's boy and loves a party theme apparently! ;)
Gearing up for summer- K will be in KDO on Wednesdays, Swimming lessons on Tuesday and Friday mornings, Tennis on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, a few camps, etc and Soccer on Saturdays. Seriously, how did it get so booked?
AND still telling lots and lots of HILARIOUS jokes! groan- but really, they are cute!

Kueffer and Daddy were outside playing this weekend. K has been playing 'astronaut' lately and will lay back in a chair with his feet in the air and countdown. Daddy grabbed the phone to capture this 'space adventure'. 5-4-3-2-1...

Say What?

Kueffer's always been a very smart and creative kiddo, if we do say so! :) But lately, he has been coming up with some doozie phrases. Seriously, kids DO say the darndest things!
Here are just a few examples of a few from this week.
Wearing his 'heartbreaker' boxer briefs and new cowboy hat (photo above) he did an entire monologue as 'Jasper the Cowboy' ...what?

Then, as Mommy suggested going out for ice cream one afternoon, his response, 'You said it, Girl!' seriously?!

Kueffer came up to Mommy and said 'Lucy's really good at the quiet game.' Lucy is the cat. Later, Mommy heard him say 'You lose!' ...apparently she was purring too loudly.

And, after the big egg hunt last week, there was still one balloon floating around. Mommy heard him playing upstairs and talking...talking to 'Smacky'. It was the balloon. He and 'Smacky' were playing.

Obviously, he has a HUGE imagination and after playdates with the cat and a balloon, he needs some playdates with real kiddos! ;)

Dr. visit

Here is Kueffer at the end of our visit to Dr. Espe...looks like our little has seasonal allergies so Zyrtec will be in our spring ritual going forward.
At the end of the appointment, Kueffer said 'I love you too much, Dr. Espe!' and Dr. Espe said 'I love you too, Kueffer.'...made this momma's heart so full!

Allergy Season

The weather has been beautiful so we've been spending LOTS of time outside. This year, Kueffer got a new visitor...allergies! Poor little guy. At the end of the day, he would pull on his itchy eyes and say that the needed to cry. :(
I've never seen him so happy about going to visit his pediatrician Dr. Espe!

Batman approved ice cream!

Kueffer loves him some yummy ice cream- yes, he is Grandpa Bob's grandson! :) We often stop for frozen yogurt after school or special occasions.
Earlier this week, I was told about this really fun ice cream called Krazy Kolors at a local ice cream shop. Sooo I promise Kueffer we would go if he was good that morning and went with Mommy to the gym earlier...yes, Mommy went to the gym and then for ice cream. I know. ...well, it was a HIT! He loved it and the yummy mess he made. The ladies working in the shop got such a kick out of him ENJOYING his ice cream to the fullest! He was the cutest mess.

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter weekend full of friends, family and LOTS and LOTS of sweets!

Easter Party!

Last Friday, Kueffer and his sweet friend Lauren hosted an Easter egg hunt for their preschool classes. When planning, Mommy was surprised to see that they received 100% YES responses to the invitation...that meant all 22 classmates + their little brothers and sisters and parents! Let's just say that Mommy was praying for sunshine so that they could handle everyone!:)

Bunny Ears!

We did have to move the date from Wed to Friday due to the weather,

but the day ended up being PERFECT!

On Friday, even withthe moved date, over 24 kiddos and 19 adults came (2 couldn't make it) and we loved having them all!

All of the kiddos and their parents had a great time.

We are lucky to have such a wonderful preschool family and love spending time with all of them.

Palm Sunday

Last Sunday was Palm Sunday and at our church, the children parade down the sanctuary waving palm fronds at the beginning of the service. Last year, Kueffer spotted Mommy in the crowd and, needless to say, Mommy got to parade with the kiddos. yeah.

This year, Kueffer was such a big boy.

At Sunday School drop off, there was a 4 year old (yep, older than K!)

that did not want to leave his mommy.

Kueffer helped to convince him to stay and 'play' with him.

Kueffer did a great job and was all business waving his branch high and

on the way back up the aisle, he spotted Mommy in the crowd.

Instead of wanting to stay, he just said 'Hi, Mommy!' and kept on. What a big boy!

Mommy is sooo sad. There were the cutest pics of K in his Palm Sunday church outfit and they are lost. :( Must have accidently deleted. bummer

Easter Egg Hunt #1

Saturday, Kueffer, Daddy and Mommy attended the annual Easter Egg Hunt at our gym.

Kueffer is so lucky that one of his favorite babysitters, Miss Molly also works at the gym and helped him make some FUN art while we were there!

There were so many fun things to do before the hunt even started...

they wanted to make sure that all of the kiddos were loaded up with suger so that the egg hunt would be VERY exciting!;)

K made lots of pretty art projects like painting eggs, decorating cookies, blowing bubbles, and eating popsicles!

Then he was ready to get some eggs! (K had to stop and blow on some dandelions too!)

He definitely had a strategy and scored big!

Can't wait for our next egg hunt.

Preschool Fun

The Thursday before spring break, Mommy was the parent helper in Kueffer's preschool class. It was so much fun! Mommy loved seeing all of the kiddos play together and even played and read stories to them. Thursday was 'movement class' so we all participated with Miss Martha.

Kueffer loves movement - that's where he learned the cool 'popcorn' move ...

and we all did 'popcorn', 'airplane' and a new one...HOTDOG!

Mommy really enjoyed playing with all of the children and think that they liked her too!

Someone LOVES choc chip pancakes!

A few weeks ago, Grandma Mary Ann was visiting and Mommy, Grandma, and Kueffer went out for breakfast. Kueffer ordered chocolate chip pancakes...and it was love at first bite!
Last Sunday, Daddy, Mommy, and Kueffer went out for brunch after church and Kueffer rekindled his love affair with THE pancake. Poor chocolate chip pancake didn't stand a chance...he devoured almost the entire thing!

Daddy and Mommy always check in on Kueffer each night before going to bed. We give him one last kiss and 'I love you' for the night. Most nights he may have a few additional toys and moved quite a bit since the last book was read and lights were turned off, but the other night, we found THIS! Kueffer's had those 'monster feet' for almost 3 years- started out too big, but now he's almost outgrown them. (sniff) We can only imagine what our little dreamer was dreaming in his very sound sleep. :)

Just tinkering around

It's been BEAUTIFUL weather in KC...Have I mentioned that?!

Last Saturday, the Dawdys were outside prepping the house for SPRING!

Daddy and Kueffer even tuned up Kueffer's golf cart using all of their tools.

It was so cute to watch Kueffer as each time Daddy got out a new tool to use, Kueffer would run to 'his' toolbench to get his screwdriver or hammer, or whatever he needed to help Daddy.

We Love Lucy!

Kueffer LOVES his cat, Lucy!

And, as Kueffer is starting to learn to not maul her,

she is really learning to trust her eager 3 year old friend.

She's even started to sleep on his bed- sometimes even at night.

One night, when Kueffer was upset,

she came into his room and snuggled with him on his bed...awwww.

Kueffer is really learning to be more gentle and will say 'from head to tail' as he pets her...obviously he's listened to Daddy's petting instructions. ;)

Super Bubble Man!

The Zoo was a Zoo!

On our last day of spring break, Kueffer and Mommy met our friends, the Duffy's at the zoo. It was a beautiful day and everyone around obviously wanted to take advantage of being at the zoo...because it was CRAZY BUSY! We had a great time as we always do with Connor, Lauren, and their mommy, Sarah!

We can't wait for more fun times at the zoo!

The weather has been BEAUTIFUL! Last week while everyone was traveling on spring break, Kueffer and Mommy were enjoying the spring weather in KC.
We been trying out a few new parks- of course, Kueffer loves playing with Cole anywhere!
