Just in case they are casting a new Dukes of Hazzard movie- Baby Dukes!... Kueffer likes to get in his version of the 'General Lee' aka the Firetruck Cozy Coupe thru the door window!

Seriously, with the curly blond hair, he is a shoe in for the Baby Beau role!

Kueffer's first boo boo's

Last night, Kueffer got so excited when Grandma Karen came over for dinner. He went running down the driveway and fell. Fell hard. Skinned both knees. Ouch! We all took care of him with a little spray neosporine and Sponge Bob bandaids. Kueffer did not seem nearly as bothered with the owies as he was with the bandaids though.

Great Grandma Opal

Last week, Kueffer's Great Grandma Opal went to heaven. She was such an amazing and spunky lady and will definitely be missed. She was with us for 97 1/2 years and we were blessed to have her here with us so long. We loved her so much and Kueffer always loved playing with Grandma Opal and always had kisses for her. Maybe they knew that their time together would not be long so they enjoyed every bit! Kueffer may not remember her as he grows, but we have so many wonderful photos and stories to share with him. We will all miss her, but know that now she can see Kueffer every day with a much better view!

Daddy had to go into the office this weekend (bummer!)...BUT Aunt Bobbi decided to come for a visit (yippee!). While she was visiting, we played a little 'dress up' with Kueffer!

It started to innocently, just had to try on the pink sweater for size info.

Then, it progressed... seriously, we couldn't resist.

We had so much fun!

Here comes...Kueffer!

Kueffer started the fall semester of Parent's Day Out last Wednesday and could not wait! Okay, neither could Mommy! :) He started going every other Wednesday last winter and went every week for a couple of months this summer and LOVED it. Kueffer was so excited to go- even though he really did not realize where we were going. Once we arrived, he remembered and was so happy...until we reached his room. In his words- Uh Oh! In his room were 5 screaming little ones! They are of the age when they realize that Mommy and Daddy are leaving them so they were NOT happy. Kueffer who usually has no problem being dropped off, just looked at Mommy like 'Um, what is going on here?' but never cried when I left. Actually the director said that once I left, he was running around the room playing and laughing while the others were still crying. Hey, all the toys to himself- great!

Okay, he did not cry when I left, but 'now for the rest of the story...'
At pick up time, Mommy walked in the door of the school and heard someone kicking and giggling while taking a 'carriage ride' in the school buggy...it was Kueffer! He smiled so big when he saw Mommy- well, I thought he was smiling when he saw me...he was actually smiling at the Daddy that walked in behind me! He never even noticed his Mommy! Once he saw me, he smiled and 'introduced' the little girl sitting beside him in the buggy. (He rubbed her arm- what a flirt!) He let Mommy know that he was not ready to leave - by protesting when I went to get him out and hold him- Yes, I was the Mommy of the child that was fine at 'drop off' but pouted when it was time to go home!

We are so happy that Kueffer loves his 'school' and they care so much about our son. His assistant in the room he was in last year even had to go visit him last week!

Every day is an Experiment!

Each day is so much fun watching Kueffer experience something new. This past weekend, we tried 'condiments'! Okay, Mommy was desperate to make her very tired and unhappy baby calm while at dinner...enter RANCH DRESSING! Kueffer loved it! Well, who wouldn't love a good french fry dipped in ranch, right? Well, actually Kueffer just licked the fry and wore more ranch than he ate, but... The next day, the experiment continued with KETCHUP! As you can see from the photo, he loved that as well. Each day we try something a little different, whether it be veggies or condiments, Kueffer is pretty happy with new stuff and is a good little eater.

Yesterday, Mommy was chopping green onions and he wanted one. Mommy took one and both of us smelled it. Then he wanted a taste, then Kueffer wanted mommy to taste it too...surprisingly, he kinda liked it too. He is one funny and interesting baby and we are so lucky!

New Addition

Kueffer had a very fun filled weekend with Grandpa Bob, Grandma Mary Ann, Uncle Clark, Aunt Bobbi...and his new friend, Earl! Uncle Clark and Aunt Bobbi got a new puppy and she is adorable...yes, SHE...Earl is a Girl! Kueffer loves animals and Earl was no exeption- well, until she started to get more friendly and jumped a bit too high. Who can blame her, she was just trying to get a closer look at Kueffer. He gave her lots of 'kisses' and she returned the love. Can't wait to watch these friends grow together!
