Last night Kueffer took his first 'real' swim lesson! Mommy is not in the pool for this class (yippee!). His instructor is Coach Ann and she is tough! Kueffer is taking lessons with 2 of his friends.
He was soooo excited before the lesson and did a great job!

After the lesson, Mommy said that he was such a good swimmer. Kueffer corrected her by saying he was 'a big boy mermaid with a green tail'. And he loved it and can't wait until next week!

Cold Beach

The other day Mommy and Kueffer were driving somewhere to see Grandma Karen. On the way, he asked if he would see Uncle Tom and Aunt Michelle. Mommy told him that they were in FL at the beach. Our neighbors had just left for California a few days prior, so he said that they were at the beach also. Then he said they were all the hot beach....and were were at the COLD BEACH and he was not too excited. Over the holidays, he kept saying that he wanted to go to the beach and be warm.
After all of this snow, Mommy is with you!

The Naked Chef

I like to say that moms (or dads) that are home on snow days are like the Army...We do more before 9am then most people do all day! Well, this momma is no exception.
Mommy and Kueffer had built a fort, colored, made dinner (mommy), done laundry (mommy again), trashed the basement, wrote all over himself and the loveseat (all Kueffer)...and then looked at the clock. Still morning.
Yesterday afternoon, Kueffer and Mommy made brownies. Kueffer is a great taste tester!
Yes, another 'diaper only' day for Kueffer. He likes to be comfy at home. :)

Yesterday afternoon KC got LOTS of snow! And when there's lots of snow falling out side, Mommy and Kueffer start getting creative with inside activities. We had a visit from our parent's as teachers coordinator and then we built a fort, watched a movie, ...and then Kueffer pretended to be sleeping! It was so funny watching him suddenly 'fall asleep' onto the bed and then 'ready to greet the day'!

Another snow day today...who know's what he'll come up with. He's such a funny little guy!

Yes, Lucy is a very patient kitty cat. Kueffer decided that she needed some items to make her afternoon nap more comfy so he shared his blankie, bear, and even got her a pillow. What a lucky cat!

Today Daddy started a new job. After he got home from his first day, we all went out to celebrate.

More snow day fun

Had to share this cute video of Kueffer outside enjoying the snow this week! I have several short videos- no doubt!- that I may be uploading them at various times in the next month. (Hard to believe that Kueffer and Mommy were able to play so much with Mommy busy shooting pics and videos! :)) We've also shared our yummy snow ice cream recipe with many friends!
After the first day of snow, it's been BITTER cold outside. Kueffer and Mommy have kept the outside time short since then, but every time we are outside, Kueffer has to make a snow angel. Yes, just traveling to and from the car warrants a sweet Kueffer snow angel and we love it!

Snow much fun!

Kueffer and Mommy had such a great 'snow day' on Monday. Our full schedule became empty and we enjoyed the beautiful snow outside.
Luckily, Mommy finally bought Kueffer some snow bibs last week and replaced his new mittens. (Yes, our first clothing casualty of the winter- even before the first snow!)

When Mommy was bundling up Kueffer, he asked if we would see any POLAR BEARS outside. No Polar Bears...but there were lots of SNOW ANGELS!Kueffer digging a tunnel

The snow was too fluffy to build a snowman, but Kueffer gathered lots of snow for snow ice cream. Of course, he had to do a taste test first to make sure and get the best snow.

When we finally came inside to warm up, we made our snow ice cream...yummy!

Sharing is caring

Lately, Kueffer is really into sharing. This day, Lucy was not interested in sharing his wheat thin.

Trains!

Last weekend Daddy, Mommy and Kueffer went to Union Station to see the model trains. We had such a great time looking at all of the fun exhibits and even ran into a few friends.
When we were approaching Union Station, Kueffer yelled..."Look, it's a T-Rex in a Santa hat! Is that not funny?" (there was a cool dinosaur exhibit at the Station too)Once inside, we saw all of the awesome model trains and even a little train to ride!(Okay, coming clean here...K did not actually ride the train. Mommy got her 'shot' and then he got off. Wasn't interested anymore... nice smile, huh?)

The trains were everywhere. Even Thomas and Percy were there!What a fun start to 2011!

Kueffer or Lucy?

Last week while Daddy was home, our cat Lucy was lying on the sofa and Daddy was rubbing her big kitty belly. Lucy loved it and was just purring away. Kueffer must have thought it looked like fun because after Lucy jumped down, this happened.

Yes, that's our little boy purring and meowing. What a funny kid!
