Kueffer's 'Egg-cellent' Adventures- Part I

Whew, Easter weekend was so much fun!
The sugar rush actually started last week with Easter parties at 'school' and LOTS of treats.

Friday afternoon, Kueffer and Mommy dyed eggs...which was interesting with a 2 1/2 year old. He is sooo independent and wanted to do so much of it himself. Being an independent toddler sometimes equals messy toddler, so Kueffer decorated eggs topless! (Mommy had been asking K to 'open his eyes' for the photos...this is a result)

It was really fun until he grew tired of hearing Mommy ask him to stir gently (aka stop spashing all of the dye on the counter top and floor) and not keep trying to taste the dye...nice. My very cooperative assistant...funny guy!

We had a fun time and ended up with some really colorful eggs!Saturday the Dawdy's were all about town at Easter Egg Hunts and a birthday party. Mommy left the house early morning to hide eggs for our mom's group. Kueffer and Daddy skipped that party as K wasn't feeling to well on Friday night. (No, not from tasting egg dye...I hope.)

Later that afternoon, we even made to K's friend, Charlie's Birthday party and was still going strong! (All of the other kiddos, including Charlie, were over it, but Kueffer still cheesed it up for every photo opp!)

Stay tuned for the actual 'Easter Celebration' on Sunday...it was a very FUN weekend!

Rock Star!

Kueffer loves 'rockin' out' ! It's so funny watching him play his guitar. He is so serious and has some pretty serious rock star moves as well!

Blessing Pot

Yesterday, Kueffer and Mommy made a blessing pot.
Kueffer told Mommy some of the things that he loves and
then we wrote them on the 'stems of the flowers'.
These included: Daddy, Mommy, Lucy, Grandpas and Grandmas, toys, and friends. It is so sweet to see him think about what is important in his life and
be thankful for these blessings.

Kueffer has been so excited to make cupcakes with Mommy since he spotted the frosting can in the pantry...

Yesterday, we made them!

Last week when we visited my parents, he told them and Aunt Lisa that he was going to make them cupcakes. Today, they are coming and they will have some yummy cupcakes made by this 'sweet' little guy!

Even when exhausted, he won't give up...must. keep. playing.

On a side note, he's also been exercising his 'bossy' side on Mommy while at the park. He's a very demanding swinger (I know how that sounds), but bosses Mommy around even checking the shadow to make sure Mommy is pushing him using BOTH hands! Serously. Good times.

Big Boy

Kueffer and Mommy have been putting in some major hours at the park lately. We've been waiting a long time this winter to get outside, so we are not missing a minute! One of the parks nearby was totally renovated this past year and this new 'whatever' was added. Kueffer LOVES it! He is so independent and has been playing on it for the past 2 days. He wants NO HELP from his mommy and is so proud of himself each time he goes back and forth. What a big boy!

Making a BIG BOY bed and making memories!

It was a beautiful weekend and we took advantage of every minute of it and were outside all day, both days! Daddy has been working on making Kueffer's big boy bed. As some of you may know, Daddy has never done anything like this, but he is making an awesome bed!

Kueffer has loved watching him and 'assisting' where he can.
I know that Daddy has loved almost every minute working on it.
Mommy has loved watching her 2 boys together working...making the best big boy bed in the world!

Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star

Kueffer is so sweet. The other morning he work up and started looking for Lucy as he does many mornings. Once he found her, he started singing 'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star'. I hope that Lucy enjoyed it as much as Mommy did. :)
