Probably from all of the cheering in the crowd, but he was yelling 'Goal' in no time!
Here is a cute video of Kueffer watching the USA/Canada hockey game for the Gold. Go USA!

Weekend Fun!

The weather outside this weekend was definitely frightful, but we had a DELIGHTFUL surprise when Papa Bob and Grandma Mary Ann came to visit on Saturday! Kueffer was so excited to see them. They brought him a new toy tractor and wagon that he loves. He was definitely Papa's little buddy the entire time and Papa loved every minute of it! Papa read stories and Kueffer even had him in the tee pee...yes, only Kueffer could get Papa in there! :)
Papa and Grandma stayed with Kueffer Saturday night so that Daddy and Mommy could go to dinner with friends and I think all three of them had a great- and exhausting- time! Grandma Mary Ann was Kueffer's early morning buddy the next day too
We were all so sad to see them go- thanks, Old Man Winter for arriving so early on Sunday- but we loved our quick visit and can't wait to see them again soon!

Our little shopper

Kueffer is definitely exercising his independence these days which can make any trip to the grocery store or Target an adventure. Today, Kueffer and Mommy went for a 'quick' trip to the grocery store...ha! Mommy's little helper decided that he was going to do most of the shopping himself and wanted to check out all of the produce and carry the basket too. Of course, anytime another shopper walked by, Kueffer had to say 'hi' and flash his dimples or show them his truck!"Wow, this make a great track to drive my truck...vroom, vroom!"

No Girls Allowed!

This past few weeks, Kueffer has been grabbing Daddy's finger and leading him into the tent. The shut the curtain door and you can hear them giggling behind it!
It's always Daddy...their special hideout!

Whew!

Wow, it has been quite a week in the Dawdy home...and it's only Tuesday! After a long and sleepless few days while poor Kueffer had pink eye and eye infections (yuck!) we are finally healthy. So healthy that Kueffer is back to his funny, sweet, mischevious self. :) He has 'discovered' the spare room downstairs and how much fun all of the pillows are on the bed, the new 'playthings', etc. Today while Mommy was unpacking some groceries, Kueffer went into the room to play. A couple of minutes later, Mommy heard the door shut...he has been doing that a bit- foreshadowing the teen years perhaps!...went to get him to go play downstairs and the door was LOCKED! There is a lock on that door? After nervously calling Daddy, Grandma Karen, Papa Bob and the local hardware store (yes, I called them) for advice on what to do...it was determined that a glass pane in the door must be broken to free little K. Meanwhile, Kueffer was starting to figure out that this was not fun anymore and wanted Mommy to hold him and was getting soooo sleepy. Daddy came to the rescue after visiting the hardware store to pick up tape- the hardware store employee even said 'you must be the Dad of the toddler locked in the bedroom.'! Kueffer was free and not too emotionally scarred. Eventually he fell asleep on Mommy...whew, what a day!
