Father's Day Fun!

We had a wonderful Father's Day...Daddy slept in, had a great breakfast,watched golf, and Grandma Karen watched Kueffer that night so Mommy and Daddy could go to dinner! Kueffer gave Daddy some great gifts including 'BACONAISE'...yes, Daddy wanted to try it as he LOVES bacon! Now that he has it, I think he is a bit scared to taste it...seriously.

We hope all of the Daddies out there had a wonderful Father's Day as well!

Littlest Fireman

The Firetruck came to visit all of the children during our block party last Saturday and Kueffer LOVED it! The firemen were so nice and let Kueffer sit in the driver's seat, try on their boots ...he did get a little excited and almost touched a wrong button. ( not sure what it would have done...yikes!) We all joked that Kueffer could put out a fire with all the drool from teething! Kueffer getting his 'official' fire badge!

I LOVE Lucy!

Kueffer loves Lucy and everytime he sees her, he gets SO excited! Lucy is very patient with Kueffer- as he 'pets' her and 'hugs' her...he constantly wants to snuggle with her. It is so sweet- until Lucy escapes!

This weekend, Daddy, Mommy and Kueffer attended the annual block party. No, this was not Kueffer's first block party ...last year the party was held the Saturday after Kueffer was born, so at 1 week old, he was ready to meet his neighbors!

The party had a luau theme and Kueffer definitely looked the part. He kept his lei on all night- well, until 7:30 when he had decided he had partied enough and fell fast asleep. Slam dunkin' the MU basketball!Kueffer and Daddy with some of Kueffer's friends

Grandma Mary Ann's visit

This week Daddy is away so Grandma Mary Ann came up to help Mommy- really, I think she just wanted some 'Grandma time' with Kueffer! The weather was really yucky outside, but we were still able to visit the park between rain storms.

Thanks for coming up...We loved having you with us the last few days and miss you already!

Yesterday, Kueffer and Mommy had a wonderful surprise...Aunt Bobbi came to visit! While Aunt Bobbi and Mommy were enjoying their lunch- Kueffer experienced his first cookie. And boy did he LOVE it! By the time we left, Kueffer and the floor were covered in cookie crumbs!

Our Little Songbird

Lately Kueffer has started 'singing' quite a bit. It is so cute! One of his favorite songs is the Susan Boyle hit 'I dreamed a dream'! Mommy sings and he joins in.

Today Kueffer attended Kindermusik class and LOVED it! The other mommies were very impressed with his rhthym and dancing skills. He was quite a ham and, even though he was the youngest one in class, did not miss a beat! Not sure if he loved the music, dancing, or the fact that he was the only boy most...yes, he was charming the ladies! He got class started by hugging another little girl and continued to flirt and smile the entire hour...so cute!

Photo Session

Kueffer attends Parent's Day Out at one of the most beautiful churches in town. Next to the church is a smaller chapel with a garden full of beautiful flowers. On Kueffer's last day of the spring session, Mommy had a wonderful idea that she would take Kueffer to PDO early and get some photos of Kueffer in the garden...well, the 'wonderful' idea did not execute quite so well. Kueffer was WAY less interested in posing than he was sampling the various types of dirt and mulch! (He is getting his fair share of fiber from mulch these days.) Blogging 'staycation'

So sorry for the lack of posts lately. Our trusty monitor decided to go to the big IT Department in the sky this week. Once we have a free night, we will get another. Until then...so many things going on with Kueffer. He went swimming and LOVED it, started baby sing and sign classes, and Parent's Day Out started back up for the summer...and that is just this week so far! We can't wait to share our latest adventures with you...hopefully soon!

**Daddy could not stand it and went to Best Buy last night to get a new moniter. Daddy loves any reason for checking out gadgets and this time he had a good reason. Totally a 'Kid in a Candy Store' night for Daddy! :)

YUMMY!!!

A little bit of 'jiggle', but not a lot of 'jam'!

Last Sunday, Daddy, Mommy and Kueffer went to Jiggle Jam! It was a beautiful day and we were anxious to attend our first Memorial Day outing....well, it was probably not the crazy, fun filled event for us that it was for other families. Kueffer was not feeling the best and he was tired AND although it was a great event, it was geared a bit for older children with bounce houses, splash park, etc. The music was great and any event with CORNDOGS can not be bad, right!? Next year, we will all have a blast! :)

Kueffer has become quite the musical prodigy! He 'plays' the piano and sometime even sings along. ( I tried to video that, but he stops the minute he sees the camera and smiles...such a cheese!)

Whew, what a weekend!

Kueffer, Mommy and Daddy went to Mommy's hometown this weekend for Kueffer's cousin, Brock's graduation. It was a very busy and very fun time with a graduation party, church and Brock's graduation ceremony! We all had a wonderful time and Kueffer charmed everyone- of course!

Kueffer was so tired, but so good during the graduation ceremony...Grandma Mary Ann and Frog helped!

Even though he had only a 40 minute nap that entire day,he was the 'life of the party' Saturday night! He worked the room and flirted with everyone. Obviously, he was having a great time catching up with Great Grandma Opal above!

Happy Birthdays!!!

Kueffer wants to say 'Happy Birthday' to 2 of his favorite people in the world...Aunt Bobbi and Aunt Lisa! Aunt Lisa's birthday was on May 3rd and Aunt Bobbi's is today. Please wish them a Happy Birthday. We LOVE them very much!

*Imagine all of the 'juicy' birthday kisses Kueffer will be giving you when he sees you this weekend!

Project Manager

As you could see from the previous post, a gate was desperately needed for another set of stairs in the house. Kueffer decided to 'help' Daddy with this task!

More Stairs!

Kueffer finally discovered the stairs leading to the master bedroom floor...yikes! He was very proud of how quickly he could get up the stairs- especially when chasing poor Lucy!

Don't worry- Mommy and Daddy quickly went to Babies R Us and bought a gate. Kueffer is not too happy about that...

Snoring

So, I'm a bad dad. I let him fall asleep in his high chair (he won't take naps sometimes!) and instead of taking him to bed, I taped it. Listen close and you can hear him snoring.

Grandma's Piano Recital

Kueffer attended his first piano recital Wednesday evening. He obviously found the piano music to be very soothing! He did wake up for the applause, and then back to sleep.
Grandma Karen did a wonderful job and Kueffer (and Daddy and Mommy) were very proud of her. Once the recital was over, Kueffer loved sharing Grandma's spotlight and did not want to leave her!

**Daddy is now looking for a piano lullaby album for Kueffer's nursery- he slept so well! :)

Tired Baby and Daddy

Last night Mommy went out for a bit and this is a text that Daddy sent.

"He fell asleep in the highchair. What the H#@l should I do?"

He only slept for about 5 minutes and was up and energized again!

Yes, it was a long day and night. Here is hoping sweet Kueffer will get some sleep soon...ahhh.

No Nap Monday
