Prairie Village's littlest Fireman
A couple of weeks ago, Daddy, Mommy and Kueffer visited the local fire department with our Parent's As Teacher's group. Kueffer loved seeing the big trucks and the firemen were all so nice to everyone! During our tour of the fire station, we got to see the kitchen where the firemen eat their meals. One fireman was eating breakfast and Kueffer saw his food and yelled 'Bite!' Luckily we were holding him back so he could not get to the table.

Papa Tractor
Kueffer is definitely ALL BOY and loves his trucks and tractors! Everytime he sees a tractor or any kind of construction equipment, he gets so excited. With a little nudging from Papa, he now knows that green tractors are John Deere tractors! :) Now that the sun is shining again, we have been outside every day and this is where Kueffer spends a lot of his time. The other morning Kueffer woke up in a great mood- as he does most mornings. That morning I was asking him if he had good dreams overnight. He said 'Yea!'...when I asked him what he dreamt about, he said "Papa tractors"!

The 'No Napper'
Kueffer is not the best napper and will hold out as long as he can before he goes to sleep. Here is a shot of him yesterday after he spent 45+ minutes in his crib singing and jumping- doing everything to stay awake. As you can see from the photo, he was not tired at all!

Happy Frogs Playing
Today Mommy picked Kueffer up from Parent's Day out and his teacher, Miss Jennifer was so excited...Kueffer did something AMAZING! He woke up before all of the other kiddos, as he does every week at naptime, so Miss Jennifer and Kueffer walked down the hall to get a new book to read. (They have to leave the room because Kueffer is such a chatterbox!) On his way down the hall, Kueffer spotted a mural on the wall that another older class had painted. The mural had frogs playing and hopping around. Kueffer pointed to the mural and said 'Happy Frogs Playing!'...and Miss Jennifer was so excited! She must have shared this with the school director because she mentioned it to me when we were leaving too. When I arrived in his room for pick up, Miss Jennifer could not wait to tell me...'He put an action, and an animal, and a feeling...this is very rare for a little one not even two years old!'...She was so thrilled about it and so was Mommy!
It is so much fun watching Kueffer pick up on everything and you can just see his mind working...soon, he will be outsmarting his Mommy!

Mr. Cool
Kueffer got these really cool sunglasses from Grandpa Bob and Mimi Mary Ann in his Easter Basket. He thinks he looks pretty cool in them. He even takes them and tries to hang them on the neck of his shirt- just like Daddy- when he's not wearing them!

Mr. Clean
This afternoon the weather was beautiful so Mommy and Kueffer were outside playing for quite a while. Once inside, Mommy asked Kueffer to wash his hands...okay, after he decided that he needed to take all of his clothes off- our new 'inside uniform'...ugh! The phone rang, so Mommy went to answer. Upon returning to the bathroom, this is what was seen.
He decided to take the bar of soap and wash his hair too!
Soap and water were everywhere- he was so proud of himself!

Eggcellent Easter!
Today was a gorgeous day- can't remember an Easter Sunday when the weather was nice enough to see all of the pretty Easter dresses and sweet little suits on the kiddos! We had a great weekend with family - church, food...okay, LOTS of food if candy counts!, and egg hunting!
We started on Saturday morning with an egg hunt at one of Mommy's friend's house. This wasn't Kueffer's first egg hunt this year and he was definitely showing that he knew what he was doing and collected 15 eggs! Pretty good for a toddler! :)
Saturday afternoon Grandpa Bob and Grandma Mary Ann arrived. (Kueffer is now calling Grandma 'MeMaw' or 'Mimi'...cute!) Once they arrived, the treats were in full swing- starting with TRACTOR!!! Aunt Lisa heard how enamored Kueffer was with the tractor at last week's egg hunt and remembered that cousin Brock had one of those when he was little. She searched with Uncle Darryl and found it...after almost 18 years! Kueffer was in heaven and has been riding that tractor ever since! The Easter Bunny made an early stop at Grandpa and Memaw's house so Kueffer got those gifts early on Saturday too...as if the tractor wasn't enough, he got a Thomas the tank engine!! Wow, now there was some real pressure on Peter Cottontail come showtime Sunday! :)Sunday morning, we all went to church- let's skip how delightful Kueffer was that morning. Uncle Clark, Aunt Bobbi and their dog Earl came for lunch and even more food, candy and egg hunting! Kueffer was collecting all of the eggs until Earl wanted a piece of the action too! It was beautiful weather so we played outside, blew bubbles (thanks, Wilson's!), ate more candy, rode 'tractor' and chatted. We were sad to see everyone go but then Grandma Karen came...yippee! That Easter Bunny gets around and had made a stop at her house for Kueffer too! We loved spending the day with almost all of the family!
Yes, it was a wonderful Easter. We were all happy and exhausted by the end of the day. We hope that all of you had a wonderful Easter too!

Easter Egg Hunt
Last Saturday, Kueffer, Mommy and Daddy all went to our first Easter Egg Hunt this year! Unfortunately, it was raining so the event was inside. Kueffer and his friends did not seem to mind and were quite the little hunters...okay, until they discovered that there was candy inside of the eggs AND toys in the rooms!
Okay, BUSTED...the Daddys were helping a lot!
This is Kueffer's buddy Brodie and his Daddy collecting eggs with Matt and Kueffer.
All of the Mommies were taking the photos!
Within the first few minutes, Mommy had to remove A LOT of foil candy wrapper from Kueffer's mouth!
Once Kueffer found this...the eggs were history. He was all about the tractor!

The Little Gardner
Mommy has been keeping some of their egg shells lately to plant
grass seeds for Easter decorations/gifts!
Kueffer has been such a good gardner and watering the 'eggs' each day!
