Preschool Fun

The Thursday before spring break, Mommy was the parent helper in Kueffer's preschool class. It was so much fun! Mommy loved seeing all of the kiddos play together and even played and read stories to them. Thursday was 'movement class' so we all participated with Miss Martha.

Kueffer loves movement - that's where he learned the cool 'popcorn' move ...

and we all did 'popcorn', 'airplane' and a new one...HOTDOG!

Mommy really enjoyed playing with all of the children and think that they liked her too!

Someone LOVES choc chip pancakes!

A few weeks ago, Grandma Mary Ann was visiting and Mommy, Grandma, and Kueffer went out for breakfast. Kueffer ordered chocolate chip pancakes...and it was love at first bite!
Last Sunday, Daddy, Mommy, and Kueffer went out for brunch after church and Kueffer rekindled his love affair with THE pancake. Poor chocolate chip pancake didn't stand a chance...he devoured almost the entire thing!

One. Exhausted. 3 Year Old.

Daddy and Mommy always check in on Kueffer each night before going to bed. We give him one last kiss and 'I love you' for the night. Most nights he may have a few additional toys and moved quite a bit since the last book was read and lights were turned off, but the other night, we found THIS! Kueffer's had those 'monster feet' for almost 3 years- started out too big, but now he's almost outgrown them. (sniff) We can only imagine what our little dreamer was dreaming in his very sound sleep. :)

Just tinkering around

It's been BEAUTIFUL weather in KC...Have I mentioned that?!

Last Saturday, the Dawdys were outside prepping the house for SPRING!

Daddy and Kueffer even tuned up Kueffer's golf cart using all of their tools.

It was so cute to watch Kueffer as each time Daddy got out a new tool to use, Kueffer would run to 'his' toolbench to get his screwdriver or hammer, or whatever he needed to help Daddy.

We Love Lucy!

Kueffer LOVES his cat, Lucy!

And, as Kueffer is starting to learn to not maul her,

she is really learning to trust her eager 3 year old friend.

She's even started to sleep on his bed- sometimes even at night.

One night, when Kueffer was upset,

she came into his room and snuggled with him on his bed...awwww.

Kueffer is really learning to be more gentle and will say 'from head to tail' as he pets her...obviously he's listened to Daddy's petting instructions. ;)

Super Bubble Man!

Kueffer loves super heros and tonight he created...SUPER BUBBLE MAN! He has the power to put bad guys in 'bubble jail'!

The Zoo was a Zoo!

On our last day of spring break, Kueffer and Mommy met our friends, the Duffy's at the zoo. It was a beautiful day and everyone around obviously wanted to take advantage of being at the zoo...because it was CRAZY BUSY! We had a great time as we always do with Connor, Lauren, and their mommy, Sarah!

We can't wait for more fun times at the zoo!

The weather has been BEAUTIFUL! Last week while everyone was traveling on spring break, Kueffer and Mommy were enjoying the spring weather in KC.
We been trying out a few new parks- of course, Kueffer loves playing with Cole anywhere!

We really are taking advantage of all of the GREAT weather that we are having this winter! Kueffer couldn't wait to get outside and practice his golf swing the other morning. Apparently, he thought that the Superman pjs and monster feet slippers would help.

Kueffer and his buddy, Brodie attended a fun play a couple of months ago. It was a small production of The Gingerbread Man. A very small production.
Mommy had read about this online and thought 'what a fun thing for the boys to attend!'...well, she was ALMOST the only momma that thought this, it seems. Brodie's mommy, little sister, Mommy, Kueffer and Brodie were 90% of the audience that day.
Oh well, it was fun and the boys enjoyed it- that's what matters.
Hey, not every 3 year old appreciates 'the arts'!:)

Just Swingin'

This has been another BEAUTIFUL week in Kansas City! We have been taking advantage of all of the time outside that we can as we know that these nice days are (usually) rare in February.
On one of our park outings this week, Kueffer brought his friend Cole. They had the best time - as usual. Here is a short video of Kueffer on the swing. You can hear both of them laughing...too cute!

Snow Day superhero!

Finally!

We FINALLY got SNOW!!!!

Monday morning, Kueffer ran up the stairs to Daddy and Mommy's room and said

"You'll never believe it. I looked out the living room window and we have SNOW!"

It wasn't long before Kueffer and Mommy were dressed in there snow attire- Mommy actually thought ahead and had new snow bibs and boots that had been waiting for Kueffer to wear them!

Kueffer was thrilled to be out in the snow and made many snow angels and invented a new 'snow dance'- video coming up!...K and Mommy cleared the sidewalk and driveway and Miss Marilyn's next door also. It was a beautiful and fun snow day.

Unfortunately, we ran out of steam and our snowman just ended up being a snow 'mound' as K and Mommy decided to start a snowball fight instead! :)

After all of the fun outside in the snow, Kueffer and Mommy came inside for yummy hot chocolate. K loves marshmallows, so heart shaped pink marshmallows were loaded in!

Here's hoping this isn't the only snow day this year!

Bongo Song

Ah, our little 'songbird'...Kueffer has been making up songs and singing them lately. Mommy asked him if he was a songwriter and he quickly corrected saying 'I'm a composer!'.
The 'Bongo Song' is not his BEST WORK, but it is what he came up with while Mommy was recording. Obviously, he's gifted.;)

Park fun

Just a couple of weeks ago Kueffer and his friend Cole were enjoying a beautiful day at the park...in FEBRUARY! As you can see, we made a stop for frozen yogurt before!
(Really, they are the same size although K looks huge in this pic!)

Muffins with Mommy

This past weekend, Kueffer and Mommy let Daddy sleep in and made muffins.

Kueffer LOVES to bake- okay, maybe taste- and muffins are one of his specialties!

Valentine Party

Last week Kueffer and his friend, Lauren hosted a little Valentine Craft playdate for a few of their school friends. It was so cute watching all of the kiddos play together and so much fun for the parents getting a chance to chat.

There were some fun crafts planned- but as with most things planned with 3-4 year olds, the execution was not that great. ;) They all decorated cookies and ate lots and lots of yummy sweets- yay!

Robot Kueffer

The other day while driving down the street, Kueffer started talking in 'robot' saying 'Kueffer want candy!'
Apparently this is a new language he has developed complete with arm motions and 'robot walk'. Throughout the days, he will suddenly turn into 'Robot Kueffer'.
Funny kid- definitely keeps us laughing!

Note: Also, he's been ending things with 'Hallelujah, Amen!'...of course for the video, he said 'cheese!'. You never know what he's gonna say!:)

Winter Bike Ride!

Kueffer and Mommy are LOVING this winter weather! The snow will probably come soon, so we are enjoying all of the time that we can outside now.
Kueffer has gotten so good at riding his bike. He even fell off of it- eek, his first bicycle accident- on this ride, but he caught himself. After a little pep talk from Mommy, he hopped right back on and rode away. Whew. He was so proud of himself for catching his fall. Mommy was so proud that he got right back on and sped away.

Kueffer went for his 2nd visit to see his dentist, Dr. Smith this week. He did an AWESOME job- no worries as he had 'pictures' taken of his teeth (x rays), got his teeth counted and polished and flossed. He had a great time and his momma was soooo proud!
