Kueffer loves singing. Although he could use a bit of tuning, we think it's perfect!

Beach Bum

Kueffer and Mommy had a wonderful trip to the beach last month. (Yes, Mommy's been a very bad blogger and is just getting around to posting this.) Kueffer ran straight for the waves and loved jumping into the waves and getting wet! We built sandcastles, caught some rays, and Kueffer chased the seagulls...or as he called them, DUCKS!

Rollin', rollin', rollin'...

Kueffer and Mommy started Mom and Tot tumbling last Monday...(it's okay to laugh at that!). It was really fun and Kueffer LOVED climbing and jumping and especially DANCING for the entire group! The classes are at a dance studio, but Daddy is sure to clarify that these are tumbling classes, not dance...whatever. Here are a couple of shots of Kueffer in action.

Mommy had to take them with her phone and was busy 'spotting' Kueffer most of the time,
so sorry they are not great quality. Can you spot Kueffer? He loved jumping off of the trampoline into the foam pit and would bury himself. Of course, he would yell 'help' and all of the little girls in the class would come help him...we are in trouble! :)

Kueffer and Mommy are loving class and meeting new friends. Unfortunately, still not wearing this little 2 year old out enough to get back into napping.

This past weekend, Papa and Grandma came for a short visit. Kueffer loved playing with them both and especially loved 'racing' Papa! Poor grandpa has a bum ankle and when Mommy finally got out the camera, he had already run quite a few little races with Kueffer. Grandma Mary Ann and Mommy are cheering them on! Ready, Set, GO!

Kueffer got another haircut this past weekend...yes, Mommy won't let them cut too much off each time, so we are 'regulars' at the barbershop! She promised Daddy no photos this time. But who could resist this cute photo opp of Kueffer and Daddy in the chair?!

Worst Actor Ever

Kueffer was running and went down...slowly. Needless to say, he was not hurt. Daddy and Mommy don't believe that he will have a future acting in any action movies...imagine the 'slow mo' falling after taking a bullet...nice!

Lately, Kueffer will just say 'I'm so HAPPY!' and I love it. Sometimes it's just out of the blue and his voice just sounds so full of joy.
Last night, Kueffer grabbed Mommy's hand and Daddy's hand and held them. He said 'We're a family and we're all friends'.
What a sweet little boy...could not love him more!

Kueffer meets Clifford!

Last weekend, Kueffer, Daddy and Mommy went to meet one of Kueffer's favorite characters...CLIFFORD, big red dog (that's how Kueffer addresses him)! It was sooo hot outside, so most of KC must have been at the exhibit. Or it just felt like it. Kueffer had such a great time getting to meet his 'friends'. He had to say 'hello' to Emily Elizabeth and have her smell his flower almost as soon as we arrived. He even learned a trade...'want fries with that?'...he was actually a pretty good server! He 'built a sandcastle', read books, 'drove' a boat (okay, had to struggle for the wheel), ...so much fun!
It was a great day and we saw LOTS of interesting people. Yeah, Clifford!

This is how Kueffer makes himself feel right at home...anywhere. Mommy and Kueffer were at Pottery Barn Kids this week for storytime, so Kueffer decided to just make himself comfortable. Looks like he is ready for his 'big boy' bed.

Last night Kueffer and Daddy started out on a nice walk to see some puppies. A few minutes later they were back...
Kueffer was running and wiped out! Poor little guy was so upset, but nothing a little ice, hugs and m&m's won't make feel better.
Soon he was acting like nothing happened...what a tough, sweet little guy!

More like 'LOOK OUT'! Yes, Kueffer is driving...yikes! He is really loving driving his golf cart. Unfortunately, it looks like he may have inherited his mommy's driving ability.
*sorry that the video is so short. Mommy was chasing him and had to take the wheel a few times to avoid crashes!

New Normal?

(Please excuse the 'cheesy' smile. I thought his smile was cute though.)

Last week was a rough one for this momma! Kueffer did not nap...ugh! It started out on Sunday with no nap in sight. Daddy and Mommy tried a couple of times and then decided to wear this kiddo out- and went swimming. We beat the heat, but did not win the nap battle this day. Monday, more of the same... stubborn little boy, miserably hot outside, and no nap. Tuesday, same story...aren't you getting tired just from reading this? Wed? Hurray, Kueffer actually napped! Maybe the cycle was broken. Thursday, Mommy had a sitter come over for a couple of hours in the afternoon while she ran some errands. The sitter played with Kueffer, read books, etc...then tried to put him down for a nap. When she put him in his crib, he looked up at her and said 'Please don't do this to me.' Can you believe that? Of course, she picked him up and read more books. What a little devil! :) Friday, after a 3 HOUR SWIM in this exhausting heat, only Mommy was ready for a nap....PLEASE do not tell me this is the new normal!!!!

Mommy and Kueffer have been inside a lot lately...this heat makes being outside for any length of time MISERABLE! While inside, we have been brushing up Kueffer's football passing skills. ...although after you watch the video, you may be wondering if Mommy has been practicing his Quarterback moves or cheerleading! :)

Kueffer loves books and thinks that he can read the books. It is so funny listening to him 'read' the stories and what he thinks is happening in each book. Also, he is really good at sound effects! ;)

**FYI- this is a 'sticker book'! and obviously the story has cows that 'moo' and wheels. Interesting!

Our boy likes to potty all the time, potty all the time, ...

Well, not really...BUT he is really getting the hang of it.
Kueffer is VERY interested and likes to sit on the potty and we have had some major successes.
Daddy and Mommy think 'potty boot camp' is coming up...yikes!

'Big like Man'

Kueffer decided to play dress up with some of Daddy's clothes last night. Once he was dressed he said he was 'Big like Man'...I guess this is his impression of what Daddy looks like. Perhaps we need a 'fashion intervention'...eek!

This is where Kueffer was telling us how he was 'brave and strong'. GRRRR!

Block Party!

Our street held it's annual block party a couple of weeks ago and, once again,

it was THE party of the year in Prairie Village!
It was a VERY HOT day, so the kiddos...and adults...kept cool with lots of water fun.
The Fire Department even came and set up the fire hose for everyone to run through. Kueffer and Mommy running the water!

and Yes, Kueffer's Daddy hung out there for a while. nice. uh oh, 'child done'...love the look on the fireman's face!All better now, well almost.

Kueffer loved socializing with everyone and was the 'last child standing'. He was definitely not ready for the party to end.Kueffer having some fun with Daddy!

It was a great time! We love our street and can't wait to celebrate next summer...hopefully on a much cooler day!Kueffer and Will 'carpooling' Kueffer and Declan deciding which pool will make the bigger splash!Jackson and Kueffer sharing a cold beverage...it'll stay juice for a few more years!

Fun with MAX

Kueffer has a new baby cousin MAX and we are soooo excited! He can't wait to show Baby Max all of the fun stuff little boys can do...Kueffer already has Max chatting up a storm when they are together. BEWARE of the 2 chatter boxes!!

Last week, Kueffer and Mommy went to visit Aunt Bobbi and Max and had such a great time. We went to the pool and dinner and for a really fun drive in the country.
