Kueffer's Big Night

Saturday night we celebrated Kueffer's 2nd Birthday with family and a few friends. The kiddos had a great time playing and eating lots of cake and ice cream! Between almost constant drinks from the hose from Kueffer and sticking his head in the water stream to cool off, Mommy was actually able to water a few plants in the backyard. After the plants were refreshed, Kueffer decided to spiff up his tractor!

Daddy and Kueffer

Father's Day was very fun at our house on Sunday! Kueffer and Mommy started Daddy's special day by going out for Daddy's favorite donuts while he slept in. Kueffer could hardly stand the excitement waiting for Daddy to wake up that morning! Once he did, Kueffer stood right by the table where we had Daddy's donuts, cards and gifts ...he had been very good not to mention the surprise to Daddy for days and couldn't wait for him to see everything! :)
Mommy dressed Kueffer in big boy shorts and polo just for Daddy- no jon jon that day. When Daddy came down from his shower, they realized that they were almost dressed exactly the same! Too cute!

It was such a fun day that Kueffer didn't want to miss a minute and would not nap. ugh! Who can blame him, it was just too much fun to sleep through!

Haircut #2

It was a busy and fun filled weekend again for the Dawdy's! We started off Saturday morning with Daddy and Kueffer haircuts at the barbershop...yes, 2nd haircut and Mommy gave into the pressure. ha! Unfortunately, Daddy and Kueffer were getting haircuts at the same time and Kueffer wanted to sit on Mommy's lap, so not the greatest pics. Kueffer was so good and Mommy is happy to say that the CURLS are still here! :)

Swimming with Thomas

Saturday, Daddy, Mommy and Kueffer went to ride Thomas the Train...and it poured. No matter how much it rained, it did not 'dampen' Kueffer's excitement to see his favorite train! ( I know, bad joke.) So much build up for the 'big visit', but the rain cancelled most of the fun activities that were set up for the kiddos. We were able to go into the train tent where Kueffer played with the train tables AND tried to smuggle out some trains...oops! (As you can see from the photos, Daddy aptly named this the ecoli tent...yuck!)Then we finally got in line for the train. It was great as Kueffer was entertained by reaching out of the tent to splash water and stick his head out to get wet. Yippee! Once on the train, most of the kiddos were pretty calm. Mommy and Daddy think that they were all exhausted from trying to stay warm in the storm. After the ride was over, we ran back to the car and Kueffer was out. Waking up a bit later asking for 'more Thomas?' and seeing beautiful blue skies.
We'll try again next year, Thomas!

Last weekend, Kueffer went to Grandma Karen's house and she had some surprises for him...check out the new tricycle! Grandma Karen bought Kueffer some really fun toys to play with at her house...yippee!

The Streaker

Well, we have a STREAKER on our hands! Thankfully it is summer, so maybe Mommy can put this naked little guy outside...that is, IF she can catch him!

Oh, wait ...Daddy! Right now he is really busy. When he gets a break, our computer will be up and running again. So many fun stories to share, but would not be the same without our 'little rugrats' photos!
Big weekend planned ...THOMAS the TRAIN ride on Saturday and then Kueffer is spending the night with Uncle Clark and Aunt Bobbi! Very exciting!

Fun on the Farm!

A few days ago, Kueffer and Mommy met up with Aunt Michelle, Quinn and Maggie at Deanna Rose Farm.Who's that 'cool cat' with the popped collar and shades?

This weekend Daddy, Mommy and Kueffer went camping with Papa Bob and MeMa Mary Ann. It was so much fun and Kueffer had the best time! We went swimming and visited horse stables- more blogs to come on these adventures!- and Kueffer made us laugh over and over again with some of his new expressions. It's so much fun just listening to the crazy phrases that he comes up with....here's one of his latest!

Scene: Daddy and Kueffer sharing a bottle of water. Kueffer started pouring it out, so Daddy took the bottle away and poured some of the water into a cup. Kueffer drank his water in the cup, and then reached for the bottle that Daddy had taken away from him. After he grabbed the bottle, he looked at Daddy, gave him a HUGE smile and said...'Thank you for hold it!' Can you believe that? We don't know what is more impressive- the stringing of the words together or the charming way he went about getting exactly what he wanted. Geez, it's true- he's not even 2. We are in trouble!

Well, it's happened. Kueffer has discovered that he can climb the treehouse and last week went all the way up the ladder and into the treehouse! There is no looking back now...yikes!
Here is a little video of our 'little daredevil' showing a few tricks on the ladder and giving his mommy a heart attack!

Water Table Fun

Summer is here and it is HOT in KC! What does everyone need when it's hot?
A WATER TABLE! (Okay, not for Mommy, but Kueffer loves it!)
Here are just a few shots of Kueffer splashing away this past week.Hmmm, I think that it was a great idea to pour all of the bubbles into the table!

Baby Dolphin

Kueffer just finished his Baby Dolphin class last Saturday. He LOVED going to class every week and could hardly wait to get into the water! Kueffer would tell Mommy every week that he wanted to go 'be a fishy' and man, he was such a little fish! He splashed, kicked, blew bubbles, layed on his back and jumped off of the side. Mommy could hardly get him up on the side of the pool and move back in time- he was ready to jump into the water! On 'graduation day' Grandma Mary Ann and Aunt Bobbi came to watch too.

We can't wait for summer because our 'Baby Dolphin' is ready to hit the water!

Summer has hit KC and Kueffer and Mommy have been taking advantage of our time outside! This past winter seemed to go on and on and on...FOREVER, so we were ready to get outside. The past few days have been so hot and humid, but we don't care- a little swingin' and water table fun will take care of the heat! Here's to a fun summer!

Recently Kueffer has started to imitate EVERYTHING that his Daddy does. It is so funny to watch him watching Matt and then do it! Last week Daddy, Mommy and Kueffer were driving around and Daddy mentioned how his back hurt and stretched. Then...Mommy heard this sort of growling from Kueffer and he was moaning...'MY BAAAACK HURTS!'...Just like his Daddy! He is one funny kid!

Just recently Kueffer has been lining things up. It is so much fun watching him and trying to imagine what he is thinking and what he may do next! One of Mommy's friends that is a teacher said that when children begin to line things up, that means that they are preparing for reading...He's not even 2...yup, right on track for 'genioushood'!

Last week, Kueffer, Daddy and Mommy attended Grandma Karen's piano recital. He was really good- for the first couple of songs. Then Daddy took Kueffer out of the recital room to look around the piano studio. Kueffer loved running around and playing on the very nice baby grand pianos! Daddy thinks that he tried out every piano in the studio! He even made a little friend and they played a duet...very sweet.

Great job, Grandma Karen! Kueffer thinks you were 'FABULOUS'!

Mommy was exhausted on Friday afternoon and accidentally fell asleep for what could not have been 10 minutes. When she woke up, this is what she found...
Yes, Kueffer saw his window and went for it! He grabbed a couple of sharpies and marked all over his tummy hands and legs! What a little devil! :)
