Floor Picnic

Yesterday afternoon Kueffer wanted a peanut butter sandwich for a snack. He 'helped' me make it and then we decided that we should have a picnic. He had no idea what a picnic was, but was so excited. Floor picnics are fun on a cold day! :)

We've been potty training for a while in the Dawdy house- not 'hard core' and I'm sure if Mommy and Daddy were more motivated, Kueffer would be out of diapers. Today, Kueffer decided that he needed to potty while he was upstairs, so he went to his bathroom and got his 'doughnut' and brought it up. Afterward, he traveled back downstairs. Notice how he put the 'doughnut' on his head so that he could hold his pj bottoms in one hand and hold the railing with the other.
Now that's using your head...ha!

Monday, Kueffer told Mommy some really great stories. He has such an imagination! Finally after about the 3rd story (all different), Mommy remembered to get the camera and capture some of it. ...notice the pleading at the beginning of the video? Don't you love his 'Pwease?'? ha!...Mommy actually got a lot more on video, but had to shorten. K's stories are pretty long winded!
Kueffer is such a funny, sweet and SMART little guy. Mommy and Daddy are always amazed by what he comes up with on a daily basis.

This morning Kueffer and Mommy attended tumbling class. Kueffer LOVES it and burns A LOT of energy! We had a substitute instructor today and she asked Mommy if Kueffer took long naps in the afternoon because he is such a 'wild man' in class...uh, no naps with this little guy. bummer!

We wanted to share on of the 'tricks' that he created today in class. The course was set up to just climb up one side and roll down the other. Kueffer did a little rearranging as he thought it was much more fun to play 'superman' ...Mommy thought it was very creative! enjoy!

Daddy and Kueffer went out and enjoyed the snow this past weekend. They built Kueffer's first snowman and had a snowball fight with the neighbors.
Here's a bit of Kueffer and Daddy sharing the 'play dead' strategy that they used. Daddy must have thrown 20 + pitches at Kueffer and he loved it each time.

P.S. Daddy's arm is still sore! :)

Really? Mommy thought that she had a bit more influence than this. I think that Daddy has been brainwashing Kueffer at night during story time by reading 'The Three Little Jayhawks'.
Kueffer will be going to bed early tonight- one less person cheering for those blue birds!

Over- Loved?

Is that even a word? Well if it is, that would perfectly describe our cat, Lucy when Kueffer is around. He loves that cat and she is USUALLY really sweet with him. Today, not so much...this photo was taken and looks so sweet. And then, IT happened. Lucy hissed and tried to take a bite out of K's head! Maybe a slight exaggeration, but she may as well have. Definitely a huge hiss and showed her teeth.

Kueffer was shattered. 'What happened?' he asked while sobbing. Mommy tried to convince him that she got over excited while trying to give him a kiss. He did not buy it. After much consoling, he is better.

I think that being stuck at home due to the snow was even too much for Lucy. This kitty needs her 'alone time' and with Kueffer around, that doesn't happen. :)

After being snowed in the last couple of days from SNOWPACOLYPSE 2011, Kueffer and Mommy ventured out to an indoor playground today. Kueffer was ALL OVER that place...can we say 'freedom'?
He rode all of the bikes, jumped in the bouncy houses, climbed the 'rock walls' and then shot some hoops like the big boys.
