'Big like Man'

Kueffer decided to play dress up with some of Daddy's clothes last night. Once he was dressed he said he was 'Big like Man'...I guess this is his impression of what Daddy looks like. Perhaps we need a 'fashion intervention'...eek!

This is where Kueffer was telling us how he was 'brave and strong'. GRRRR!

Block Party!

Our street held it's annual block party a couple of weeks ago and, once again,

it was THE party of the year in Prairie Village!
It was a VERY HOT day, so the kiddos...and adults...kept cool with lots of water fun.
The Fire Department even came and set up the fire hose for everyone to run through. Kueffer and Mommy running the water!

and Yes, Kueffer's Daddy hung out there for a while. nice. uh oh, 'child done'...love the look on the fireman's face!All better now, well almost.

Kueffer loved socializing with everyone and was the 'last child standing'. He was definitely not ready for the party to end.Kueffer having some fun with Daddy!

Fun with MAX

Kueffer has a new baby cousin MAX and we are soooo excited! He can't wait to show Baby Max all of the fun stuff little boys can do...Kueffer already has Max chatting up a storm when they are together. BEWARE of the 2 chatter boxes!!

Last week, Kueffer and Mommy went to visit Aunt Bobbi and Max and had such a great time. We went to the pool and dinner and for a really fun drive in the country. Splish Splash

While Daddy was outside working the other day, Kueffer decided to beat the heat with a little 'pool time'. He loves the water!

Camping Fun!

Earlier this summer, Kueffer, Daddy and Mommy went camping with Papa Bob and Grandma Mary Ann. It was Kueffer's first time camping and he was a 'natural' ...no pun intended! :)

We did lots of swimming and playing outside.
Uncle Darryl and Aunt Lisa joined us for one day and that was so much fun! Kueffer loved his corn on the cob and Papa's yummy grilling!

We visited stables and Kueffer was very brave meeting the big horses!
This is Kueffer meeting his new friend, Scout.
He still mentions Scout every time we see a horse and asks if they are friends of Scout!

Kueffer and Daddy sleeping...camping really wore us out!

It was so much fun...can't wait to do it again!

Daddy reads books to Kueffer every night before bed. It is a very special time for both and Mommy is not sure who loves it more- Daddy or Kueffer. One of Kueffer's favorite books, at the moment, is 'Skippy Jon Jones'. As you can see ( and hear), Daddy does some great accents and really brings the book to life...and Kueffer loves helping out too!

Man Land

Saturday, Daddy took Kueffer on his first adventure into 'Man Land' aka...Home Depot! As soon as we got out of the car, Kueffer went right for this cart and started pushing it with Daddy. He had a great time and loved running up and down the aisles- although Mommy didn't enjoy it as much! Looks like a future 'bonding place' for Daddy and Kueffer!

Road Trip!

Last week, Kueffer and Mommy went on a ROADTRIP to Memphis! We wanted to go visit our good friends, so we hit the road. Kueffer was a great traveler- also helped that we drove Aunt Bobbi's car with the DVD player! We only stopped once in St. Louis on the way there. The rest of the ride, he was chatting non stop giving me either a play by play of the movie he was watching, playing 'I spy' or just giving a general commentary on the things he was seeing! Finally after almost 6 hours on the road, he fell asleep. ahhh.
Then we arrived in Memphis to see Mommy's college roomie, Rebecca and her husband, Chris and children Christopher, Oliver and Emma Rush. We were soooo excited! Kueffer spotted the pool right away and wanted to swim right away! We spent the next few days visiting the zoo, swimming and playing.

Kueffer loved playing with Emma Rush

Kueffer became quite the brave little fish and LOVED the pool! All of the bigger kids were so good to him and were so sweet sharing their toys and playing with him- He LOVED the boys' train sets and even played 'princess' with Emma Rush!It was great! Kueffer and Mommy both had a wonderful time and can't wait to visit again soon with Daddy.

Kueffer's Big Night

Saturday night we celebrated Kueffer's 2nd Birthday with family and a few friends. The kiddos had a great time playing and eating lots of cake and ice cream!
