Who's your favorite?
Last night Kueffer was pointing at Daddy and saying 'Da Da'. Then he pointed at Mommy and would say 'Mama'...he did this over and over again. Finally Mommy jokingly asked-
"Who's your favorite, Kueffer?" He looked at both of us and then pointed to....

Kueffer is no dummy! We would periodically ask him who his favorite was a few more times throughout the night and each time he pointed to himself. Already an ego!
*In case you are wondering from his photo, Poor little Kueffer has PINK EYE- yuck!
But even sick, he is such a sweetie.

Let Me Entertain You!
Yesterday after Kueffer's nap, he decided to climb on top of his 'baby grand'
and perform a little show for Mommy! He even ended 'the show' with a 'bye bye'!

Guitar
This morning Mommy had the Today show on television. We were having breakfast and going about our morning routine, not paying any attention to the t.v. Then Kueffer pointed to the television and said 'Daddy'...it was James Taylor playing his guitar! I don't think that Daddy and James look much alike, but like to think that Kueffer was complimenting Daddy on his guitar skills. Okay, to be honest, it was probably that Daddy is the only person K has ever seen play the guitar in person...There was another man on the show playing bass too. He had a beard and Kueffer called him 'Santa'!
We love hearing you play guitar for us Daddy and think that you are right up there with James Taylor...and Santa!

Kueffer of the Jungle
!Kueffer and Mommy went to an indoor gymnasium last week. This place was the 'real deal', not one of those little gym places. Kueffer went wild- showing off all of his 'Curious George- like' climbing skills. He even made monkey sounds too!Okay, now how do I get up there? (No worries, he figured it out...smart little devil!)Who is that good lookin' kid? :)
The gym stated that parents had to stay off of the equipment- a lesson Mommy learned once she was on a trampoline with max weight capacity of 75 lbs! Well, Mommy did have to break the rules a bit as Kueffer tried to get on the zip line at the top of one of the climbing areas! It was so much fun and Kueffer and Mommy were both exhausted from their workout!

Kueffer's Latest Stats
Kueffer went to his 18 month well check visit on Friday. It was a great appointment- no shots!- and everything looks great! Dr. Espe was very impressed with his speaking, coordination and overall development. He has surpassed all of the milestones for this age and is moving on! When Dr. E started to check his heartbeat, Kueffer took his stethoscope and placed it on his chest! Our little genius is now showing his Pediatrician what to do! ha!
Here are his latest stats:
weight: 25lb 1 oz (25-50%)
height: 33" (75%)...Kueffer was kind of squirmy, so we think he may be even longer!
Yes, our little guy is 'long and lean'!
His is a total chatterbox- never stops! He has very strong verbal skills and repeats almost everything we say. (uh, oh!) Kueffer loves to read and, like most boys, loves tractors, COMBINES, trucks, cars and balls!

Guy
This is Kueffer's new friend, Guy.
Kueffer and 'Guy' read and sing and dance and make animal sounds together to lots of new books. As much as Daddy and Mommy love that Kueffer likes to read, sometimes hearing 'guy, guy, guy, ....' over and over again is a bit much. Don't get us wrong, we all love guy. He's a great influence on Kueffer- you know, that friend that is a good kid but is kind of high maintenance...that's guy. :) We really have to admit though that 'Guy' is a pretty amazing guy...thanks, Uncle Darryl and Aunt Lisa for introducing Kueffer to his new 'friend'.

Baby Beethoven
Our holiday celebration went on and on and we loved every minute of it!
Once we were back in KC, we hosted even more family - this time it was Daddy's side.
It was so much fun watching Kueffer play with his cousins, he definitely keeps the party going!
Grandma Karen and Uncle Brad kicked off the festivities by singing some favorite Christmas Carols...it was great!then the kiddos went right for the presents!Kueffer got the cutest baby grand piano from Grandma Karen and proceeded to perform a mini recital...Music to our ears! Aunt Michelle read 'The Three Little Jayhawks' to Quinn and Kueffer. Kueffer looks about as interested as Mommy would be...go Tigers!

While he was outside, Kueffer decided to try some of the cold, white stuff- from inside, of course!Hmmm, interesting...
