The weather here has been beautiful! Now that Kueffer is an official 'walker/runner', he is all over the place. Today he and Mommy did some backyard exploring.

Kueffer and Mommy go to playgroup every Friday and LOVE it! We both have so much fun socializing with the babies and mommies. Last Friday, we met and some of the littles were playing in the water tub. It was funny to watch as they gathered around Kueffer and he starting showing him some of his 'tricks'. Mommy caught him just in time before he went for a swim - and his friends joined in! Of course, by the time we left, Kueffer was drenced!

Here comes TROUBLE!

It's official after months of teasing us with a few steps and then 'knee walking', Kueffer is WALKING!

One of those days

Just when Mommy thought she had it all together on Monday- she and Kueffer made it to the gym ON TIME, got home and put Kueffer down for a nap, started dinner, vacuumed the car after only 3 days worth of Goldfish, cheerios, and whatever else K had snacked on...then POW!, reality. The Dawdy's are not that together...Kueffer woke up after only 45 minutes, which meant dinner was 1/2 started, the laundry was now in piles in the laundry room, but not started, and this... Kueffer discovered the 'snack drawer' and started having some fun!

Our little guy is definitely not one to sit still for long and is constantly climbing and thinking of new ways to get to his next target. Once he was up, there was a lot of 'Please get down, Kueffer' , 'No, Kueffer!'...you get the picture.

Which resulted in this

Kueffer tipped over a dining chair and smashed two of the fingers on his left hand...ouch! Mommy and Daddy took Kueffer to his first (of hopefully NOT many) after- hours pediatrian visits.

Kueffer is a tough little guy and his fingers should be just fine...just sore and ugly for a few days. This incident has not slowed him down one bit!

Storytime

Kueffer and Mommy try to attend storytime once a week. We had not been in a while, but last week we finally made it. Kueffer is not the best at sitting still ...yet, but he was able to listen while riding 'his' rocking horse. Once the stories were read, he was back 'exploring'. Usually climbing on top of the tables, chairs and anything he could get to!

Great Grandma Opal

A couple of weeks ago, Kueffer and Mommy went to visit Great Grandma Opal. She is 97 years old and still full of spunk! Kueffer always loves visiting with her and I hope that it brightened her day as well.

Fair Time!

Last week, Kueffer went to the fair for the 2nd time- yes, he attended last year's fair when he was only 1 month old! He loved it and did not want to miss a single thing. He saw all of the animals and wanted to get so close and tried to get thru the gate to get even closer to them! During the auction, Kueffer was yelling and pointing along with the bidders, Mommy was wondering how she was going to explain to Daddy why they now had a pig for a pet!

Aunt Lisa had to protect him from a few of those big cows!

The fair is so much fun. We love going and seeing all of our friends and family...

Baby Fish

Last month, Kueffer and Mommy went to visit Uncle Clark and Aunt Bobbi- well, during that visit, we went swimming! Kueffer loves to swim and in their town, they have an awesome community pool. Kueffer definitely has a mind of his own- especially in the pool- and thinks he is one of the 'big kids'! Fun in the Park

Last Friday, Kueffer, Grandma Karen, and Mommy met lots of family and friends in the park for a fun lunch. Kueffer loved playing with everyone! I think that he was trying to be like all of the 'big kids' and was fearless on the playground- climbing all of the ladders, stairs, walking across bridges and going down the slide! Okay, with Mommy's help.

We loved seeing everyone and can't wait to get together again soon!

Cat Pillow

Kueffer LOVES our cat, Lucy!

She is very patient with him and lets him pet and snuggle her almost every time he sees her. ...until she is OVER IT...hiss!Then she give Kueffer the 'cold paw'!

Carousel Ride

Saturday, Daddy, Mommy and Kueffer had to run some errands and included was a trip to the mall. While there, we thought it would be so much fun for Kueffer to go on his first carousel ride. Ha ...no so much!
Mommy hopes that he will give it another try this week when they go home to the county fair. Wish us luck!
